After successfully navigating a Marketing career spanning twenty years, and growing two small people during that time, I made the decision to follow my lifelong dream of becoming a writer. Having recently graduated with a Master’s degree in Creative Writing whilst simultaneously juggling life, kids, dogs, husband, and a burgeoning coat addiction, I am now focusing on actually trying to write. I published my first creative piece in a collaborative anthology, entitled, Nightlines, featuring works from local writers, poets and artists, and presented my essay, The Anatomy of Motherhood, to audiences supporting Every Other Mother. I have written about these, both of which can be found in the skyandsalt blog.
What else? On the days words fail me, I turn to other creative inspirations– generally in the form of crocheting, lino cutting, reading or walking. I resolutely refuse to believe I drink too much coffee, or that my books to read pile is taking over.
